Taking The Duen On A Photoshoot

can catching drone at seaHere at the 3 hour sail we are working on upgrading our online presence with professional photography, video and even hired a drone videographer! The big day was scheduled, and we crossed our fingers for good weather.

For this endeavour, we moved the Duen over to the most scenic spots that we commonly visit during our tours: Discovery Island. Oak Bay, Chatham Island and Discovery Island are all wild and uninhabited. In fact, until recently a lone wolf resided on Discovery Island for more than 6 years – we would often see him while taking people out for our tours.

On this trip we hoped for fine breezes and nice weather to allow us to put up full sail, but not so strong as to blow away our poor drone pilot’s gear. We were blessed with a perfect day.

We also took on some customers from Mill Bay who had been anxious to sail with us for several years. It was a birthday cruise for Dan and he spent most of the time behind the ship’s wheel with a smile on his face.

Our crew was also on their game, hoisting every bit of sail we had and turning this way and that for the photographs.

Lots of smiles, lots of fun!
