The Craigdarroch Castle is a National Historic Site, and a grand place to celebrate your special day. There is no need for extensive decor, as both the inside and outside of the building are architecturally unique and beautiful. The castle is home to two Steinway pianos and may be used by a professional pianists, if you choose to hire one, to serenade you and your guests. There is a restriction on beverages, so if you are a lover of red wine then this venue may not be your top choice, as they do not allow any liquids that may stain.
Church & State Winery
If the castle was removed from the list due to the beverage restrictions, this one may be for you. Church & State Wines is just outside of Victoria, and at this venue you have many choices and options; indoors or outdoors, wrap around patio or one of many ceremony locations, small or large gathering, the list goes on. Church & State is Vancouver Islands largest winery, serving wines from the Vancouver Island Estate as well as the Okanagan Estate vineyards.

Beacon Hill Park is beautiful in the summer, and offers lovely green space and amazing scenery for a wedding. The park is right downtown, making it convenient for any guests as well as the bride and groom if you are staying in a local hotel. Some popular spots within the park are the stone bridge, the rose garden, and the wagon wheel – not every area may be as easily accessible by car. The park is open to the public as well, so the downside (or upside!) to this location is you may receive some uninvited guests, or some onlookers from afar.
Another National Historic Site, St.Ann’s Academy, offers a wide range of options for a unique wedding day. It is a venue that could host your ceremony and reception, as well as offer spots for some special pictures. The Academy grounds include two gardens that are ideal for wedding ceremonies and receptions, one more appropriate for a small gathering and the other best for a larger group. If you decide to have your event inside then there is the chapel, parlour, and a large foyer. The chapel welcomes either religious or civil ceremonies.
